Broccoli: Issue 1
Broccoli’s first issue features writer and musician Claire L. Evans, artist, activist, and nun Corita Kent, and fashion duo Sundae School along with ikebana weed arrangements by Amy Merrick. The issue was launched in partnership with Serra in Portland in December 2017.
Broccoli is an international magazine created by and for women who love cannabis. It debuted in December 2017 offering a new perspective on cannabis culture by looking at the plant through an art, culture and fashion lens. The magazine’s growth has been unprecedented thanks in part to coverage by Vogue, It’s Nice That, Broadly, Dazed and others. The publication’s visual language and editorial design was developed over the course of three months with the aim to speak to a significant but often overlooked group of women cannabis consumers. A playful, slightly irreverent design paired with rich, vibrant content has helped launch Broccoli into an international market with distribution now in Europe, Asia and Canada.
