Ouur Spring/Summer 2015
About the collection:
For the Spring/Summer season we drew inspiration from one of the most compelling American artists of the 20th-century and the land she called home: Georgia O’Keeffe and the sunlit surroundings of northern New Mexico. O’Keeffe’s minimalist lifestyle and appreciation for the region’s harsh but beautiful landscapes led us to design a collection with architectural silhouettes, desert hues, and elegant simplicity. About my involvement:
For the past two years, I’ve been the U.S. lead for the Ouur collection, an apparel and home goods collection created by the same team behind Kinfolk Magazine. I’m responsible for developing the concept and visual direction for each season, working directly with our lead apparel designer to ensure her designs are on-point for the brand and seasonal concept, overseeing our quarterly sample checks in Tokyo, art directing the seasonal campaign photography, designing all accompanying print and digital materials and leading collaborations with other brands for limited edition products.
